Selena Gomez knows how to dress for her own party. At the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the Rare Beauty founder arrived at the Hollywood Palladium in a red jewelled gown that put her firmly in the evening's spotlight, and she matched it with a clear, classic beauty look.
The night raises money for youth mental health, a cause Gomez has made central to both her brand and her public life. Here's a full breakdown of the look and the event.
The gown: strapless, jewelled and all red
According to the Daily Mail's red carpet report, Gomez wore a strapless red gown covered in jewels. It had a corset-style bodice and a fitted skirt that stopped just above her ankles. She went head-to-toe red with tall red heels, and kept the jewellery to diamond earrings and her engagement ring from husband Benny Blanco.
The designer had not been named in the early coverage we reviewed. The lines are still easy to read: a structured bodice, a column skirt and an all-over embellished surface that catches the flash. It's the old-Hollywood route, made a little sharper by the shorter, ankle-skimming hem.
The colour worked against the set. The photo wall was bright pink with a fuchsia carpet, so a full red look stood out instead of blending in.
Hair and makeup: sleek curls, smoky brown eyes
Her beauty look was simple and very Rare Beauty. The Daily Mail described her dark hair styled in sleek curls falling down her back, with smoky brown eyeshadow and a glossy nude lip.
If you want to try it, the formula is straightforward: warm brown shadow blended out softly, mascara-heavy lashes, a lip that's more gloss than colour, and glossy, defined curls. The nude lip keeps the red dress from looking costume-like.

What the Rare Impact Fund Benefit is
Rare Beauty announced in August that this year's benefit, titled "A Night of Radiance & Reflection," would be held on October 14 at the Hollywood Palladium, with Emmy-winning actor Sean Hayes as emcee. Leon Bridges and Bella Kay were later announced as the night's entertainment.
The Rare Impact Fund aims to mobilise $100 million for organisations that widen access to youth mental health services and education. According to Rare Beauty, it has raised more than $30 million since it launched in 2020 and supports 30 nonprofit partners across five continents. Last year's benefit raised more than $2 million, and one per cent of all Rare Beauty sales goes to the fund.
"One of the things I've learned through this work is how much it can mean for a young person to have someone in their corner, especially during the moments when they feel most alone," Gomez said in the announcement.
The cause is personal. Gomez has spoken openly about her bipolar disorder diagnosis and her own mental health treatment, which is part of why her advocacy resonates with so many fans.
The guest list
On the carpet, Gomez was photographed with Elyse Cohen, Rare Beauty's chief impact officer and president of the Rare Impact Fund. Other guests included Katy Perry in a sleeveless black dress, Shay Mitchell in a flowing one-shoulder pink dress, and host Sean Hayes in a blue suit with a striped tie, the Daily Mail reported.
Mitchell's appearance was more than a social one. She is head of creative and design at the luggage brand Béis, which has a new collaboration with Rare Beauty.
The Béis link: a raspberry 'Limitless' collection
Rare Beauty and Béis launched their second limited-edition collaboration on Monday, October 12, WWD reported. It grows from three pieces in 2025 to eight, in a raspberry shade called "limitless." It includes Béis luggage from the $118 Mini Weekender to the $378 Large Check-In Roller, cosmetic pouches from $34 to $74, and a $32 Limitless Cheek & Lip Set with full sizes of Rare Beauty's Soft Pinch Liquid Blush and Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss.
WWD said the partnership would extend to the benefit itself, with Béis making a donation and hosting an on-site gifting activation featuring the collection.
