Some collaborations are a capsule and a press release. Giorgio Armani x Kith "Dreams of the Dune" arrived with a runway, a desert and a sunset. On Friday, 9 October, the Milanese house and Ronnie Fieg's New York label unveiled the third chapter of their menswear partnership with a show staged at dusk in the Agafay Desert, south of Marrakech — and with the collection landing in stores this Friday, 16 October, it is the runway story menswear fans will be shopping from this week. Here is what walked, what it means, and exactly what drops when.

Giorgio Armani x Kith Dreams of the Dune: the setting

According to Kith's official show notes, the collection "draws on the stillness and sun-bleached tones of the desert," a setting that shapes both its visual identity and what Kith calls its "chromatic architecture." FashionNetwork, which reported the unveiling on 13 October, confirms the sunset show in Agafay and describes the project as the next step in a dialogue between Armani's tailoring and distinctive volumes and Kith's contemporary take on the modern men's wardrobe.

The location was not a backdrop for its own sake. Agafay is a stony, pale-gold desert rather than a sea of dunes, and the runway photographs show models crossing a terracotta-red track against chalky rock and a lilac evening sky. That is the palette of the collection in one frame.

The colour story: from black to ice white

Kith describes a deliberate progression. The collection moves from black and deep blue, through dark brown, burnt earth and leather tones, before giving way to sand, greige, grey and icy white. FashionNetwork summarises the same run as shades from "black and deep blue through dark brown, scorched earth and leather hues, and on to sand, greige, grey and ice white."

On the runway, that translated into an almost cinematic sequence. Opening looks in shadowy navy and black outerwear, worn with knit beanies and bucket hats, gave way to cognac leathers and tobacco suedes, then to pale tailoring and, finally, near-white layers that glowed against the desert dusk. The look on our cover sits right in the middle of that arc: a belted, burnished-brown leather coat over soft grey trousers, a straw hat, leather gloves and a slouchy leather bag — desert travel dressing at its most refined.

The key pieces to know

Kith singles out three hero outerwear pieces: a belted shearling jacket, a two-tone lamb leather utility jacket and a blouson in lambskin suede. Around them sit shearling blousons and aviator-inspired jackets, which Kith says were produced "in exceptionally limited quantities." FashionNetwork lists belted shearling jackets, suede blousons and two-tone leather utility jackets among the range.

The tailoring is where the Armani DNA is most legible. Kith points to recognisable house elements — deconstruction, softened shoulders, relaxed volumes and distinctive neck closures — paired with wide, fluid trousers. Cargo styles in virgin wool, cashmere and pure hemp natté add a more functional edge.

Knitwear is quietly clever. There is a reversible sweater blouson, striped on the inside and solid sand on the outside, a short-sleeved two-button sweater and a belted virgin wool shirt. A cashmere group built around a collarless blazer and matching trousers softens the structure further, while graphic tees and embroidered sweatshirts deliver the more immediate, logo-forward expression of the partnership. Prints inspired by wind-shaped dunes carry the landscape directly onto fabric.

Layering as desert dressing

The styling idea, per Kith, is "protection without restriction." Scarves, foulards, gloves and hats evoke the functional elegance of desert dress, while generous proportions are controlled through precise construction and fluid fabrics preserve movement. That explains why so many runway looks wrapped the neck, covered the head and kept the hands gloved — it reads as styling, but it is also the logic of the setting.

For anyone translating the show into an autumn wardrobe, the lesson is simple. Build one strong leather or suede layer in a warm earth tone, keep the trouser wide and soft rather than slim, and let a scarf and a hat do the accessorising. The palette does the rest.

The footwear and headwear capsules

This chapter also brings three of Kith's long-standing partners into the Armani world for the first time. With ASICS, the brands present the GEL-MAI 0.1 in two colourways: Quarry, in pigskin suede with hairy suede overlays, and Safari, in pigskin suede and nubuck, both with co-branding and Dreams of the Dune artwork on the sockliner. Kith says the ASICS style will be available exclusively at Kith.

With Italian bootmaker Diemme, the collaboration reimagines classic boot silhouettes for desert terrain: the low-top Ampezzo in tobacco suede, the shearling-lined Stefano in sand suede, the wool-and-leather New Tirol Wing with brogue detailing, the Winchester Mid in dark-brown nubuck and the leather-and-suede Alpini with shearling lining, all on Vibram soles.

And with '47, Fieg reworks his signature headwear: nine styles across three silhouettes — the Franchise LS fitted cap, the adjustable Classic and the SL Hitch — in Italian wool, cashmere, lambskin leather and duck canvas, each embroidered with a New York Yankees logo as a nod to Kith's hometown team.

Why this chapter matters

Armani has always been the house of softness — unlined jackets, dropped shoulders, colours that seem to have been left in the sun. Kith, under Fieg, is a master of drops, scarcity and community. Dreams of the Dune is the first chapter in which those two sensibilities feel fully fused rather than simply co-branded: the house's tailoring language sits next to sneakers and caps without either side looking like a guest.

The choice of a full runway show, rather than a lookbook, also signals ambition. FashionNetwork calls it a step that further cements the collaboration in menswear, and the desert staging gives the collection a visual world strong enough to carry a campaign. Kith says that campaign, photographed by Casper Kofi in Marrakech, is being unveiled on 13 October.

Release date and where to buy

Giorgio Armani & Kith Fall/Winter 2026: Dreams of the Dune launches globally on Friday, 16 October, at select Giorgio Armani stores, all Kith stores and online — FashionNetwork confirms the 16 October worldwide rollout via both brands' official e-commerce. Kith says its online release goes live at 11 a.m. on Kith.com and the Kith app, in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo time zones.

If you are shopping from India, the practical move is to set an alarm for the London or Paris drop, decide on one hero piece in advance — the shearling and suede outerwear is the most limited — and treat the caps and sneakers as the second wave. Given Kith's track record with limited releases, hesitation is the most expensive choice you can make on Friday.
